About Me

Hi, I’m Henry Forshaw, a 33-year-old self-employed writer and gardener based in Hampshire, UK.  When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me eating out, watching films, bouldering, hitting the gym, swimming, relaxing in the sauna, or working on my allotment.

My Journey to Self-Compassion

My self-help journey started in my late teens, I had a deep depression that lasted well into my twenties.  During those years, I felt lost and unsure of how to break free from the negative patterns holding me back. But everything changed when I had a turning point, when I found that I could choose to apply self-compassion in the face of my toughest emotions.

Learning how to end self-rejection and to face shame changed the course of my life.  Now, I’m passionate about helping others find the same peace and confidence I discovered.  My goal is to reduce recovery time for those facing similar struggles and to shift society’s perspective on mental health, fostering more understanding and less stigma.
